Depeding on your process ,choose a different bending radius .In general ,choose 1.5D. Special circumstances are useful for 5D and 10D heads

.Using 1D elbow morality:

1,1D elbow is used in the absedce of special pressure drop requirements and no special pressure drop requirements and no special requirement for fluid mobility .

2,1D elbow is more often used in the case of jacket pipe . The inner pipe uses 1.5D elbow to cooperate with the 1D domes of the outer pipe ,so that the inner pipe can be smoothly insertde into the outer pipe and the construction difficulty can be reduced

3,1D domes may be used to reduce pipe vibration .The use of 1D domes can increase the eigidity of the entire pipe .

Using 1.5D elbow :

1,Reduce pipe stress .The flexibility of the pipe can be increased by using a long radius elbow .In the design process of some heat medium oil pipelines ,we will also use 3D 4D elbow elbow instead of pipeline compensator

2,Reduce pipe ressure drop .the valuse of star length between 1D domes and 1.5D bends are different in the process of perssure drop calculation ,but the difference is not large but if the number of elbow in the whole pipe system is very large ,there is still some adjustment effect .

3,Reduce the pulse power of the fluid to the pipe .The larger the cuevature radius of the elbow ,the less the dynamic load of the fluid on the pipe system
